She has had a wide variety of therapeutic experience including but not limited to working with teens, young adults, families, and the adult population. She has experience working at Elgin Mental Health Center on the Forensic Unit working with inpatient clients who were legally deemed NGRI (Not Guilty By Reason of Insanity). There she focused on individual therapy, women’s and men’s group therapy, and utilized her Certified Drug and Alcohol Counselor certification (which she plans renew again very soon). Becky is provisionally licensed under the supervision of a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW), which means that if she needs any further insight about a client issue or wants to learn more extensively about any specific therapy modality that her clients might want to work with she has clinical supervision weekly with a highly experienced Licensed Clinical Social Worker right down the street from our office! She also has an extensive network of Therapists, Social Workers, Psychologists, Psychiatric Nurse Practitioners, and Psychiatrists that she has worked with since 2010.
It has been Becky’s passion and dream to help people almost all of her life. Even in her teenage years it was suggested to her to go into psychology and therapy because of her natural empathy, fantastic listening skills, dedication to people, and her ability to help guide others through any problems that they would come to her with, without hesitation. It is Becky’s goal in our practice to have extremely individualized therapeutic relationships with each of her clients. She specializes in depression, anxiety, bipolar, OCD, PTSD, suicidal ideation, drug and alcohol addiction, and working with the LGBTQ+ community. Becky focuses on mindful, transformative healing therapy to increase confidence, decrease fear, anxiety, and depression to improve the lives of her clients by better understanding themselves and how to manage their problems.
